The filmmakers used what they already had
Plot
After bringing a sinister entity to life, Art the Clown returns to the mundane town of Miles County, where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. The haunted house scenes in “Terrifier” were filmed at a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art’s favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which he keeps in a clear glass bottle. It is a super acid that can dissolve even glass.
Art the Clown:
There’s an average scene in a mental hospital with Chris Jericho acting as security guard Alan Burke and Leah Voysey as a nurse. Tiberius Film’s German DVD and Blu-ray releases are cut by about three minutes to achieve the “No Under 18” rating (which was necessary because the guidelines for video releases are stricter than for indoor releases). Basically every violent scene was cut to tone down the violence. Nameless Media’s 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Mediabook releases are completely uncut and have received a light SPIO/JK approval.

The acting is terrible and there is almost no plot
After about an hour I couldn’t wait for it to end. Art The Clown looks great and there are some gruesome murder scenes, but that’s literally it. This movie is just about a killer clown running around slaughtering people. I don’t understand why people are such fans of these movies.
Don’t get me wrong!
I love horror movies as much as the next person, but some of these murder scenes are extremely overrated. You have to be a bit of a sadist to be interested in such things. At the end of the day, it’s just an upbeat movie. 5 stars.
